Crooked River Water Park – Fun at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa poolThe Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin is really a great resort for families with special needs, I’ll have a full post about it on Friday.  There’s so much to do there, the water park barely scratches the surface, but you know it’s the first thing your kids are going to ask about.  And you’ve got to see this water park/pool area.  You and your kids will love it – and it’s accessible.

The Crooked River Water Park consists of several pool areas and water features with a long lazy river running between them all.  Beach chairs surround the pools, some in full-sun, some enjoying the shade of the trees.  Every pool has it’s own lift, a with paved accessibility.

I’m not a sun-worshipper – 5 minutes on a lounge chair and I’m bored.  But I could have spent the entire afternoon at the Crooked River Water Park enjoying the lazy river and beach.  Just grab a tube and jump in, the gentle current will move you along.  I might have taken a catnap along the way – it felt so good.   The hardest part of your day might just be getting your kids out of the pool.
